'Ciao Toto': Italia 90 World Cup Hero Salvatore Schillaci Breathes His Last Italian media report that Schillaci died at Palermo's "Civico" hospital after suffering from bowel cancer. Schillaci won the Golden Boot for being the top scorer and won the Golden Ball as player of the tournament in Italy's home World Cup in 1990.
