Ukraine ‘Attacks’ North Korean Soldiers in Kursk As Russia 'Arms' Kim's Troops With Snipers And RPGs Ukraine has claimed that the first North Korean troops stationed in Russia’s Kursk to aid Moscow’s war have come under fire. The claim was made by, Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the counter-disinformation department at Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council. However, the official did not provide any more details on the circumstances of the engagement or possible losses on the North Korean side. Moscow has reportedly deployed North Korean troops to reinforce defences against Kyiv’s troops who launched a surprise incursion into Kursk in August. Meanwhile, Ukraine has shared details about the weapons and equipment it says Moscow is arming North Korean troops with. As per Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence, North Korean soldiers have been provided with various types of weapons and other gear.
